Jim Levesque represented the home furnishings
retailer Boyles Distinctive Furniture at the Showhouse
#2 in Charlotte, NC. A nine year Boyles' employee,
this was his second consecutive year as an ambassador of Boyles.
An active participant of the local and national IDS chapters,
Levesque has continued to challenge his design capabilities
at HomeArama..
|
| Local design endeavors by Jim include
Marvin, The Point, Dilworth, and Myers Park. And the jaunts
to West Palm, Sanibel, Charleston and Hilton Head are also fulfilling.
Levesque is Boyles' liaison with award-winning Simonini
Builders. Simonini Builders was recently honored as the
"National Builder of the Year 2006."
Located in "The Sanctuary" development
( Crescent
Properties ) on Lake Wylie, this home was a must see showhouse
that won the following awards: Gold Past Presidents, Silver
Best Floor Plan, Silver Best Outdoor Space and Silver Most Inovative
Design.
The home was inspired by characteristics found from the early
Arts and Crafts movement in England and later
in the United States. A more than 4 arce Preserve gave this
stone, cedar shake and Hardiplank home the perfect combination
of space and privacy.
A look inside the home's 2 rambling levels showed visitors
that this 4 bedroom, 4-1/2 bath estate was far from ordinary.
The dining room/library has built-in bookcases, and the kitchen
had an oversized island. A wine room was located on the main
level, and a game room with a kitchenette was on the upper level.
However, many guests favorite space was the Outdoor Pavilion,
with fireplace, exposed cedar beams, and a view of the disappearing
edge pool and spa.
