The Plan
Because the redesign was intended as a surprise for the homeowner, Burns was not able to visit the home or talk with him ahead of time. He also could not utilize any blueprints, measurements or room layouts for planning purposes – instead, he had to pull everything together based on instinct and best guesses.
The Design
The rooms selected for the remodel were a combined living room/dining room, open kitchen, and master bedroom. Tyler had about four days to pull together his design plan and all the elements needed to furnish and decorate the rooms – including color and style choices, furniture, accessories, window treatments and blinds, artwork, rugs, pillows and throws.
The Installation
The Boyles team had one full day – Monday, October 9 – to install and decorate two New Orleans homes, including the home designed by Burns. |
