What should I bring to our first meeting?
Bring photos, floor plans, fabric samples and paint chips of your existing room with you. A pillow from the sofa or an arm cover from a chair is helpful when matching fabrics. A drawer from the night stand will help when coordinating finishes.
Be sure to bring measurements of the room.

Bring new decorating ideas with you, too.
Since a picture is worth a thousand words, it is helpful to bring visual images to share with your designer. Tear out pictures from magazines or copy photos from design books. Reviewing these images together with your designer will help get the design process started.
